Relaying a report from Twitter https://twitter.com/buzzboulevard/status/1068621817374547968 "Every. Stinkin'. Day. @firefox hangs in the morning after my computer has been in sleep mode overnight. Have tried every trick, and nothing works. Why is this the only app that does this? #ridiculous" "Firefox 63.0.3 on MacOS 10.13.6, MB Air 2017" I've seen similar reports on Twitter. See: https://twitter.com/Kathless/status/1049843263207874560 https://twitter.com/woodruffgraphic/status/1055167638043873280
I have attempted to confirm this bug, but I was unsuccessful. These are the steps I took: 1. Open Firefox 63.0.3 with a fresh profile on a MacBook Pro 2017, with Mac OS 10.13.6. 2. Open a bunch of random web pages. 3. Put the MacBook to sleep and leave overnight. 4. In the morning, open the screen of the MacBook. It did not freeze or hang in any way. If I had contact with the user that observed the issue, I would ask him/her these questions: a. Are my steps as similar as possible to yours? What are you doing differently, when the issue reproduces? b. You leave your Firefox browser opened? Do you leave it in focus (the app that's selected and displayed in main view)? c. Which pages do you usually leave opened before the Mac goes to sleep? d. Do you put the MacBook to sleep or do you let it to go to sleep automatically? e. Does it still reproduce? If yes, please try to leave a safe-mode version overnight once to see whether it still reproduces. You have the steps here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager I will try to contact the user who mentioned this issue on Twitter in order to try to find the cause of the issue. If you are a/the user who has reproduced this issue, please try to answer the questions in a new comment of this bug. Thank you for your contribution!
