Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0; Q312461; .NET CLR 1.0.3705) BuildID: Whenever I startup Mozilla on my work pc (win2k 256MB) memory consumption shoots up to 100% and mozilla takes up over 400 megs of virtual memory in task manager. The RAM allocated to Mozilla continues to rise until I assume it reaches the total swapfile memory size (I have never waited long enough). Mozilla never actually displays a page! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start up browser! Actual Results: all memory is used up. Cannot load any other programs, or indeed quit mozilla, either in convential manner, or by task manager. Expected Results: loaded up normally!
Reporter: Please uninstall mozilla, delete all files in c:\programs\Mozilla.org\Mozilla\ (but save your plugins) and reinstall mozilla. If you still see the problem try "mozilla -profilemanager" and create an additional test profile. and no blocker..
Severity: blocker → critical
