(Note: this is refiled from my comments on bug 140325.) All browser windows show a few lines of red error(?) text at the bottom of the window. This occurs on both 1.0 and on the most recent nightly (build 2002061121), in both cases installed in /usr/local/mozilla from the tar.gz distribution. Performing the "multi-user installation" procedure in the release notes does not help. The text is as follows: <menuitem position=5 label="&venkmanCmd.label;" --^ <key id="key_irc" key="&ircCmd.commandkey;" command="Tasks:IRC" modifiers="accel"/> --^
To browser-general for triage -- this is a dup of a bug about some sort of chrome corruption having to do with installing over old builds.
