In a SuMo thread a while back, a user reported that disabling DRM on about:preferences, exiting/restarting Firefox, and then re-enabling it, triggered an update. I don't know if that was luck or whether that is the expected behavior of enabling the preference.

We've seen certain programs interfere with CDM download in the past. It's possible that other issues, like DNS, could also be leading to this issue. I've reached out to the reporter to see if they're okay with following up here, otherwise I'll reach out via other channels to see if we can track down what's happening.

Following on from the github issue: Cederick, could you let me know the following:
- Are you able to download the file form https://redirector.gvt1.com/edgedl/widevine-cdm/4.10.1196.0-win-x64.zip ?
- Are you able to ping aus5.mozilla.org ?
- Do you have any software on your system that may be filtering network traffic (e.g. antivirus)? Is there anything on your network that may be filtering traffic?
