Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:63.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/63.0

Steps to reproduce:

I open developer tools.

Actual results:

The Dev Tools "Debugger" tab is empty. It does not display anything in the Debugger tab on various websites. All other tabs are working well.

Expected results:

I should see a working Dev Tools Debugger tab to debug JS code

Please always include an example URL and it would be nice if you attach a screenshot that shows the problem.

Just in case you have extensions installed, try the Firefox safemode: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
Component: Untriaged → Debugger
Product: Firefox → DevTools

Hello Matthias,
it doesn`t work with any url. Safe-mode do not help. The Dev Tools "Debugger" tab is simply empty. Nothing is shown. Cant't find a possibillity to add a screenshot here.
Thank you for reporting Joe! Could I ask what locale/language you are using Firefox in?
Hi David,
I'am using a German Version.
I added a new Profile with loosing all my preferences.
The new Profile is working well.
:flod Could you have a look at the German L10n to ensure we have no empty keys, causing the debugger to break? I remember this happened a few months ago with the Spanish/Mexico L10N.

Where do I have to look for L10n?
sorry question wasn't for me ...
Could you try with 64, since it's now released?

I don't see anything out of the ordinary in German localization to justify this.

Would you be able to check if you have IndexDB disabled? The Debugger relies on it for storing certain things, so it may be broken when IndexDB is disabled currently.
I see you already commented in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1503883 saying a new profile resolved the issue, so I'm assuming this is the same core issue.

This is definitely something we'll need to investigate more. I'm closing this in favor of https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1517531 since we've had 2 separate issues filed about this.
