It happens when selecting History as Home page or as a New Tab

-Steps iPad
Go to Settings -> New Tab -> History
Browse to a website and then open a new tab via the + icon
Select previous tab by tapping on it
Tap on the new tab opened previously

-Expected
The history entry for the visited page appears in the New Tab history list

-Actual
The entry has been removed. Please see video file attached

It is also reproducible on iPhone when changing from tabs from the tab tray

This is not reproducible on latest master: e3fb14d8ec32cafaf3a0ae9f86607a0dbb436700
