User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/71.0.3578.80 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: http://recordit.co/739iLCqKSE Actual results: Subtitles don't appear over video. Expected results: Subtitles appear over video.
I believe the height of the viewport change the way the subtitles are displayed. If the video is as big as the viewport, it has issues with subtitles for some reason.
Upon further research, I believe it's pushing the captions down. When I move the viewport a little, it's at different possitions. http://recordit.co/iIP17APBTG
Ah, ha! It's because I'm doing a transform scale and it's pushing subtitles down. Is there any way of fixing this (to keep transform scale)?
This never did this in previous versions (v63 and less) of Firefox.
Summary: Subtitles do not appear. It appears when opening the inspector. → When transform scale is applied, subtitles scale with the viewport

I can't even activate the subtitles because the menu closes when the mouse pointer leaves the button.
Matthias: for some reason the subtitles menu is not working if dom.ua_widget.enabled is enabled. If you disable the pref you should be able to turn on the subtitles.
Looks like subtitles start moving out of the viewport for viewports bigger than 1600 x 900. However I see the same behavior in older Firefox version (63) and in Chrome. I am not sure why beyond a certain size the subtitles disappear if you apply a transform on the body.
Seems to be duplication of Bug 1488673?
