Steps to reproduce:

Tried to highlight website url using the keyboard shortcut, Cmd+K on Firefox Nightly. 


Actual results:

Outputs a question mark plus a single whitespace character


Expected results:

The url should have been highlighted in the address bar

Thank you for taking the time to add this report.
I was able to reproduce the behavior you mentioned on the latest 66.0a1 Nightly build (20181217220100) and on the latest 65.0b4 DevEdition Build (20181211223337). 
This does not reproduce on the latest 64.0 Release build (20181206201918). 
I have edited the title of the issue in order to include DevEdition.

The right shortcut is CMD+L (or CTRL+L, F6 or ALT+D, result may vary across platforms).
CTRL/CMD+K is to focus the SEARCH BAR, if the search bar is not present we instead add ? to "transform" the url bar in the search bar.
