Details |
Flash Player appears to be unable to flush Local Shared Objects to disk on Windows 10, after a particular change to the 64-bit NPAPI sandbox.
Interestingly, we only started getting reports of this in the last week, but it appears to have been injected back on May 22nd in Nightly. I've included bisection details from mozregression below.
To reproduce:
Install the latest Flash Player (https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer)
Extract the attached .zip file to a webserver
Open testLSO.html in the browser
Authorize Flash to run
Actual:
The test will show FAIL
Expected:
The test will show PASS, and the counter will persist and increment across page loads.

David, sandbox level 3 (bug 1366256) looks like it broke Flash's Local Shared Objects.

We got the report too -- bug 1513966. I'm looking at it but don't know what to do yet. This helps though because this test case should be easier to investigate.
