In bug 1508388, we landed the search hand-off feature enabled behind a pref. It should stay enabled in Nightly and Beta, but we need to disable it for Release (Firefox 66).
The pref is: "browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar"
