A UI for importing and exporting *user-selected* filters would be extremely
useful.     Most users don't want to/don't know how/are afraid to set up
filters.  Furthermore, there are a number of useful filters that you won't
figure out unless you are good at formal procedural logic, pattern recognition,
*and* have time to study a spam corpus.

Right now, it's difficult enough to share filters that people generally don't. 
Even Outlook2xxx, which has import/export, doesn't fully do the job because  you
have to import/export the whole thing.  Joe doesn't really want to delete all of
Jane's filters that don't apply  to him.  Joe *especially* doesn't want Jane's
filters to overwrite his own!

Note that because this is an inherently DEcentralized anti-spam scheme, it is
less vulnerable to spammers figuring out how to bypass it.  It leads to a
diversity of immune systems, so to speak.

This bug won't become really useful until mozilla can support a tree structure
for its filters (think of selecting only the parent of the spam filters instead
of the 150 individual filters it encompases), so depending on bug 151226.

sorry for the spam.  making bugzilla reflect reality as I'm not working on these bugs.  filter on FOOBARCHEESE to remove these in bulk.

I would like to say, that this function is very usefull! Now is no add on to do it and you can not export/import filtr from one account to other....
