From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.0.0) Gecko/20020530
BuildID: 2002053012
The page loades like usual, however, after already parts of it are displayed on
the screen and only some pictures are missing, Mozilla crashes. I'm using
Mozilla 1.0 right now and it crashes, I tried Mozilla 1.1a and it crashes and
even the currently nightly build crashes!
And not only that it crashes like other applications do, being ended forcefully
by the Windows taskmanger because of some access violation, no, it refuses to be
killed. Even after I hit the button at the task manger, the Mozilla window is
still here (just doesn't get repainted anymore) and the damn task refuses to die.
I have a command line utility named "kill.exe", available from Microsoft.
Usually I enter "kill Mozilla" and all current tasks of Mozilla are killed. But
this time it says that it's killed, but the window is still there. So I repeat
the last command and it says again it it killed (meaning it wasn't really
killed, otherwise it would come up empty, because it can't find any task with
Mozilla in the name anymore). Not even adding the FORCE option "kill /f Mozilla"
works and this one usually shuts down every task (that's like "kill -kill #pid"
on Linux/UNIX), but Mozilla refuses to die and Windows is slow like a snail,
hardly reacts anymore, rebooting isn't possible, it refuses to shutdown; only
hitting reset works.
So I can't give you any talkback ID, because talkback never starts-up on my
system, starting Explorer takes half a minute, starting IE fails completely
after the Mozilla crash. Up to now Mozilla was never able to crash my system so
badly!
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Visit the URL, but be warned, could be the last thing you can do in Win98.
Actual Results: Worst crash ever.
Expected Results: Well... Mozilla should display the page and if there's
something on it that Mozilla can't handle, it should ignore it.
I don't know if Micro$oft is doing that intentionally, to prevent that you can
view their pages with Mozilla, but no matter what they do, it bases on a Mozilla
bug that must get fixed. I restarted multiple times, tried different versions of
Mozilla... it's always the same. Is anyone else having this problem (maybe
another Win98 user) or just me? I'd really like to know what item on this page
is causing the crash and if it's just me, any idea to nail down the problem?

wfm with win2k build 20020613..
Do you use a Nvidea graphic card ?
Do you get a "divide by zero" crash ?
Does it work if you change your graphic card acceleration 2 notches ?
Control Panel->System->Performance->Graphics.)
> Do you use a Nvidea graphic card ?
Yes.
> Do you get a "divide by zero" crash ?
It says something about an error during division... how many possible errors
during division exist except dividing by zero? None, I guess.

Yes, but then the digital output of my sound card produces an annoying clicking
(the link between the soundcard and D/A converter seems to be lost several times
a minute).
I see, you mean it's bug 128961
