From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.1a) Gecko/20020611 BuildID: 2002061104 when using my Yahoo mail account at mail.yahoo.com and I press compose in Internet Explorer it allows me to click on a link that sends me into the color and graphics composer mode, but when using Mozilla I am stuck using the plain version Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.go to mail.yahoo.com and log into a yahoo mail account 2.press the compose message link to open up a new message to send 3. Actual Results: there is no link to switch from the plain mode of composing a message into the color and graphics mode Expected Results: just above the area for typing a message in yahoo mail, or right next to the bold "compose" in the new beta yahoo mail there should be a link that should switch from the plain version to the "color and graphics" version
I have this problem I think it because ad text and graphis uses AxtiveX. There for they shoud use an applet or somthing.
This should be moved to tech evangelism, am I corect?
Cant seem to change the status myself

I can confirm this at least in the beta version of Yahoo Mail. A quick glance at the HTML showed only JavaScript. I didn't see any ActiveX, but I may have missed it.

Summary: yahoo mail won't let me open color and graphics mode → yahoo.com - mail won't let me open color and graphics mode
Looks like yahoo presents different pages depending what browser it detects, so it's not that mozilla doesn't display the option but yahoo doesn't give the link to display. Might be worth someone seeing if it's presented if mozilla's UA is changed to IE, I suspect it would but i'm not sure it would work looking at all the document.all that the IE page has in it's JS.

This page http://www.codeproject.com/jscript/w3richtechedit.asp shows how its implemented in IE. It appears to be 'kind of' an activeX control. Changing the UA to win IE 5.x makes the link appear, but the html editor does not work.
