From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.1a) Gecko/20020611 BuildID: 2002061104 Certain pages that were often visited are displayed blanc after install of Java Webstart and Netscape 7.0. After de-install, it still doesn't work, I even reinstalled Mozilla. When viewing via IE, it does work though. =/ Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Openup Mozilla 2. Type the adress in the adress bar Actual Results: A blanc page appears with only: <html><body></body></html> in it Expected Results: Showed the real entire page, that actually DOES exist. his hapenned after install of Java Webstart and Netscape 7.0. It persisted even after de-installation of both, AND a reinstall of Mozilla.
I uninstalled Mozilla completely, and even deleted all files... But the bug is still there... It seems, that it does not recognise pages like "domain.com/" where it should automatically be redirected to the index.htm or some sore of file. It still only displays an emtpy file....
another note, is that images that are supposed to show, are currently all NOT schowing, this happens almost anywhere =/ I even tried uninstalling Mozilla 1.1 alpha, and reinstalling the stable 1.0 one, but it didn't work...
Have you tried to clear the disk-cache ?
how do I do that?
if rebooting would clear the diskcache, it still doesn't work =/ I think it might be solved if I reinstalled, but there always seems to be a part of the program that is left behind.... Even when I delete the mozilla folder...
Edit\preferences\Advanced\Cache\... The profiles are not deleted if you uninstall mozilla. Many users would loose their mail etc if they upgrade and choose the best way to upgrade : uninstall/install the new build.
ok, thank you for the help, I just looked for every file/folder which said mozilla, and deleted them. Now I've re-installed the latest build, and it works again :) Thanx for the trouble! Tularis
