Affected versions

  • 65.0b11
  • 66.0a1(2019-01-15)

Affected platforms

  • Windows 10 x64
  • Ubuntu 16.04 x64
  • macOS 10.14

Steps to reproduce

  1. Launch FF.
  2. Open multiple pages.
  3. Open about:performance page.
  4. Select one of the pages/processes
  5. Right click on the selected page and click the bookmark icon from the context menu.

Expected result

  • Once a page has been selected from the about:performance page and the bookmark icon from the context menu has been clicked, the user is expecting that the said page will be bookmarked.

Actual result

  • Once a page has been selected from the about:performance page and the bookmark icon from the context menu has been clicked, the about:performance page has been added to bookmarks.

Regression range

  • Not a regression.

Screencast of the issue

Additional notes

  • The bookmark icon being in the context menu after the user has a page selected a process from about:performance is counter intuitive. The user expects the selected page to be bookmarked seeing as how double clicking a process from about:performance takes you to the said page.

Should we entirely disable the context menu in about:performance?

Mass closing about:performance bugs as about:performance has been removed in bug 1836191 in favor of about:processes which displays more accurate data. If this bug still applies to about:processes, feel free to reopen and change the summary.
