RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1502923

(Keywords: perf)

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64; rv:64.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/64.0

Steps to reproduce:

A shared calendar is stored on a remote server (ftp://ftp.XXX.at/XXX.ics). I started the calendar sync function.

Actual results:

CPU usage went up to 25 to 30 % for over 35 minutes, blocking any other interaction with thunderbird and slowing down other programs extremely. Deactivating Avast Free Antivirus did not make any difference. (Windows 8.1 64-bit x64) De-selecting the remote calendar in the calendar list lets CPU usage drop to 1-2% immediately.

Expected results:

Before the update to thunderbird 60, calendar syncing took under a minute. On a Windows 7 system with an identical configuration (same thunderbird version, same remote calendar file), it still does.

Another possible dupe of bug 1512703? Is this with TB 60.x ESR or beta?

Sorry. I think I meant bug 1509739.

This bug seems duplicate of Bug 1502923...
