Might be worth revisiting AAT support with this release.
Yeah, there've been some bug-fixes, but there's still at least one open issue (currently discussing upstream[1]) that I think would make us hesitant to switch over from Core Text to HB-AAT for macOS, as it would change the shaping of some of the system's Indic fonts.
