Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC; en-US; rv:1.0rc3) Gecko/20020523 BuildID: 2002052305 1. Can't move bookmarks to correct spot (they go to a different place than the line says they will) 2. Although you can copy bookmarks by holding down option while dragging, the copy gets put in the wrong spot and half the time it doesn't copy. Sometimes it moves the original bookmark and sometimes it does nothing. 3. Copies of bookmarks are sometimes made without me telling them to be made. I wanted to make my bookmarks appear both in my bookmark bar and in the bookmark menu, but when I copied, I ended up getting two unmovable copies of that bookmark in my toolbar folder instead of one. When I tried to delete the one that was in the wrong spot, it deleted the other one and left the one I wanted to delete. 4. I decided that I just wouldn't change the order of the bookmarks in my toolbar folder because it was so hard to work with, but not all the bookmarks appeared in the toolbar, and there was one "blank" bookmark (a space and a symbol but no name). The toolbar doesn't match the contents of the toolbar folder. 5. When importing bookmarks from IE 5, they were reversed up and down (the one at the top was at the bottom and vice versa) so I had to move each and every one to get them in the right order again. 6. In the bookmark toolbar, not enough room is allocated to each bookmark. The names are cut off very short. By contrast, in IE 5, every bookmark gets as much room as it needs to fully display the title. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. In the list of bookmarks, choose one near the bottom and move it to the second position from the top. 2. It will, in fact, be right at the top. 3. Now try moving the bookmark back down to the second position from the top. It will be in the third position from the top. There were a number of problems, and the explanation for reproducing them is already described in the "description" field. I think you need to completely revamp the bookmark system. Actual Results: The bookmark moved first to the top spot, then to the #3 spot. Expected Results: It should have moved to the #2 spot, both times.
Issue 1 was caused by bug 124603 which is fixed in newer builds.
