Verifying about:config
network.connectivity-service.IPv6.url

Goes to
http://detectportal.firefox.com/success.txt?ipv6

Expected results:

By now this type of requests shouldn't be to https?
https://detectportal.firefox.com/success.txt?ipv6

No. This check only verifies the presence of IPv6.
In the future we'll have separate checks that also do https.
