Note

  • On the initial load of the Google Maps page, touching a random location will not show the information of the point tapped, like address and coordinates.

Affected versions

  • Nightly v67.0a1 (32-bit)

Affected platforms

  • Windows 10 v1803 on Lenovo Yoga (table mode)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open https://www.google.com/maps
  2. Tap on a random location from the map.

Expected result

  • The information of a point, such as an address or a coordinate is displayed.

Actual result

  • The action of touching the map can be observed by the user, but the information of a point, such as an address or a coordinate is not displayed.

Additional notes

  • Furthermore, if the user taps the search bar, then a random location, the information about the point will be displayed.
  • This issue does not occur while in desktop mode.

It appears that this issue also occurs on the Chrome browser, after all. Not sure if this is intended or not.

Reproduced on Lenovo Yoga C630-13Q50 with Windows 10 Home (v1803) on latest Nightly aarch64 build.

The same behavior can be observed in the EDGE browser as well.

Sounds like this is invalid then. Either a bug in google maps or intended behavior.
