this is generally not important, execept for mozbot :)

I was about to ask if this was still valid, then I noticed that the URL is searching for the alias in bug_id Could this be a work around for mozbot? http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?&bugidtype=include&field0-0-0=alias&type0-0-0=equals&value0-0-0=bonsai-test
Note: if you want to display a single bug, use: show_bug.cgi?id=bonsai-test

If I understand correctly what you want to do, which is search for either a bug ID or a bug alias in the same CGI variable, then this search can be done by a server-side quicksearch.
