I was thinking, kind of in awe of Moz 1.0 (working way better than the betas before it on my PC) .. started setting it all up .. and then wondered how well will all this config back up .. Bookmarks, Contacts, Mail and News servers and messages, even the experimental Calendar addon .. and then it came to me .. Moz need a profile backup system .. where a profile can be easily rolled up into an archive and imported again from one (should probably add in the ability to import from an actual moz profile directory too, just to support manual backups) .. and then another things came to me .. good old NS4 style roaming profiles .. it something like that, or even the whole profile system itself could be ported over to Moz that would make life so much easier .. then configs could be made persistant through either backups or roaming profiles. Thanks for reading my suggestion ;) Piotr

hmm. you are definetly not the first to think about roaming profiles. and profile backups are quite easy to do manually: tar zcvf ~/.mozilla/ mybackup.tar.bz I'm going to dupe this, please reopen if you think you have some bright idea not mentioned in any of the roaming profile bugs. (search for "roaming"). *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 17048 ***
