Details

This bug has been marked FIXED - as far as I am concerned on my machine it has
not been fixed. It is different - now when I type - no text appears until
several seconds after the typing, although the cursor continues to move across
teh the screen as if typing invisible text.

Typing speed and quality unacceptable at this point...

C., it's possible you got a build that didn't have the fix. Wait a few days, and
try another build. If you still have the problem, reopen the old bug.
