Brief Description of the request (required):

FFTV is seeing a large amount of missing sequential pings (redash link below). We would like some investigation to help figure out why this is happening so often. Some questions to answer:

  • what kind of clients is this happening to (e.g. specific OS and app versions, devices)?

  • what is the distribution of client ids (is this happening to the same small set of clients or is it affecting our whole userbase)?

Business purpose for this request (required):

We need to make sure we are recording pings correctly and not missing any in order to accurately analyze and report how users are using the product.

Requested timelines for the request or how this fits into roadmaps or critical decisions (required):

Regular priority for sometime in Q2. This will help us accurately report metrics in our OKRs.
