Details

Our current treescript can handle very well operations against the hg trees. However, we expect a bunch of things later in Q2 and H2 that will need something similarly but for github.

To name a few:

  • flatpak publishing will need this as part of publishing to Flathub (done via Github)
  • new implementation of bouncer will rely solely on Github
  • we could be automating the NIGHTLY_VERSION in Ship-it (both old and new) at the same time as bouncer locations bump the entries in bouncer for new nightlies. This could automate the process we currently have manually done by either RelMan or RelEng after each migration day 2.
