well, a very strange thing happend to me today: both mozilla browser + mozilla mail got mad: when i opened one of them, something like 50 copies of the program opened at the same time! reinstalling over mozilla won't help, restarting windows won't help either. the only thing was to uninstall mozilla completely (including the deletion of all files - profile files and program files) and than reinstalling mozilla again. seems a specific very-importnat file was damaged and i couldnt load mozilla. the error accourd after doing...nothing. i was playing with kazaa, than quit, loaded moziila, quit that too than i went to watch some tv :)) after coming backl i wanted to load mozilla mail and than the error accoured. i'll also attach a txt file, describing how to maintain all mozilla settings, mail, plugins etc. when you need to uninstall it and than reinstall it back. any changes or comments are welcome. you may publish it on the site...? (i didnt check to c if such thing already exist). omer.
Attached file the instructions
i also fogot to mention; i used mozilla version 1.1alpha and than installed version 1.0 final over the alpha. when that didnt help i uninstalled/reinstalled mozilla. omer.
Reporter: uninstall mozilla, delete all files in c:\programs\Mozilla.org\Mozilla\ (but save your plugins) and reinstall mozilla. If you still see the problem try "mozilla -profilemanager" and create an additional test profile.
We have to assume that some mozilla file was corrupted by the system (perhaps in a profile). Reporter (guy22israel@hotmail.com) I am marking this bug INVALID, but if it has occurred for you more than once please re-open this bug report and let's see if we can find a reproducible cause for your problem. Thank you! Also, it is generally not a good idea to install one version of mozilla on top of another. Uninstall the virst version, or install the new version into a new directory.
