Marking a bug's release status as wontfix
leads to confusion and sometimes anger on the part of users because they see a bugmail that makes thing think the bug has been WONTFIXed (the discussion of if we should change WONTFIX is a dicussion for another bug and my tatoo artist).
What are terms we could use that aren't wordy, but convey, "not fixing in this release"?

- other ideas?

- We'll need to update all the past and present tracking flags
- Anyone doing reporting or tooling which uses hard coded values of the status fields will need to update tools
- We'll also need to update all the bugs

I don't see this as being an issue currently.
It will create significant work (we have tooling relying on the field values) for a small potential gain.
I would rather wontfix this bug.
