+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #918175 +++
I added WAL to file calendars in 2013, as that solved the big problem I had at the time. I think this would also be useful for moz-storage-calendar calendars of sufficient size. (I don't really use moz-storage-calendar so I've no real way of seeing a difference.)
