Affected versions

Steps to reproduce

  1. Launch Firefox, enable the devTools inspector with the Rules section and Changes tab being displayed;
  2. Make any change in the rules inspector;
  3. Toggle the devTools off;
  4. Toggle the devTools on.

Expected result

  • The changes are still displayed in the Changes tab;

Actual result

  • The Changes tab is in the default-empty state;
  • Changes performed in the Rules section are still in effect;

Regression range

  • not a regression;

Additional notes

  • attached recording with the issue;

This was a potential feature for Track Changes M1, but it got de-prioritized in favor of other features.
It's on the backlog in the PRD. I'll mark it as a P3 so it's officially on the backlog here in Bugzilla as well.

This may or may not be handled in the same solution as for persisting changes across page refresh in Bug 1468783
