I was investigating bug 1542770 where the Android test-verify job for a new crashtest I added was frequently failing (timeout). Turns out this is not specific to the crashtest I added, but seems to be exposing a regression elsewhere that causes Gecko to not shutdown properly. It happens when other crashtests are added too (see e.g. bug 1543648).
Filing this as a metabug of sorts to collect all instances of this problem and investigate.
