(This is not so much specific to BMO as Bugzilla in general but https://github.com/bugzilla/bugzilla-ux/wiki pointed me here as the place to file bugs.)
The markdown support in Bugzilla is fantastic. Thank you!
However, one of the hardest parts of markdown is remembering the syntax for links: [link text](URL)
. It's very easy to get it mixed up.
For this GitHub has a keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+K (which happens to match the shortcut for adding links on Google docs):
- Highlight some text:
abc
, press Ctrl+K, and it transforms it into[abc](url)
and sets the selection to 'url'. - Highlight a URL:
https://...
and it transforms it into[](https://...)
and puts the caret inside the[]
.
It would be great to see this in Bugzilla too.

Yeah, that’s an annoying part of the comment editor and I already have a bug for that.
