Steps to reproduce:

Install Firefox Beta on Pixel 3 running Android Q Beta (stable release will not run); sign into Firefox Sync account; receive persistent error message that Sync is not connected.

Actual results:

Sync page shows account has never synced and needs to be verified.

Expected results:

Account should sync.

We're working on this over in Bug 1537701.
