Details

If invalid values are specified for the gecko profiler options the webextension hangs when trying to start the profiler.

Instead it should cause a failure, and shutdown the browser.

Priority: -- → P2

I cannot remember anymore what the specific failure output was, but I assume it's the same underlying problem as bug 1609295. A fix there should hopefully automatically fix this problem.
