cookies not remembered when going through redundant proxy

Details
When logging in to bugzilla both on a self-installed system and apparantly also
on mozilla.org's bugzilla, the login is not remembered. Supposedly this is
because the remote ip address (my browser) is being used in the authentication
check. My ISP forces me to use their proxy server, which consists of several
machines. Every time a request is made it comes from a different ip address.
I verified this by connecting to my bugzilla system from a machine on that local
network and then it's okay. I then set up an SSH tunnel to that network and
connected using ssh port forwarding, and then, since the source ip address is
always the same (not using a proxy here...) everything is okay too.
