I don't get why I am banned from #mozilla probably some very brilliant decided
to block ipt.aol.com.
this is how moznet greeted me:
Banned: clones_glorious_close (2002/06/26 23.34)[ERROR]Closing Link:
bernd[bernd@255.255.255.255] (Banned)[ERROR]Connection to irc.mozilla.org
(irc.mozilla.org:6667) closed.[ERROR]Connection attempts exhausted, giving up.
this is how slashnet greeted me:
Welcome to Internet Relay Chat bernd!~bernd@ACB1AFE9.ipt.aol.com
===Your host is pinky.slashnet.org, running version cyclone0.3.1.1

I take this personal! Not a _single_ line of source code from me until I can
login into /moznet
looking at the message somehow closer I recognized that somebody changed on
2002-06-26 the rules at moznet. The authenfication rules do not work for my aol
adsl account they worked for a year, but with this change I am unhappy. And for
other networks theses authenfication rules work.
My previous understanding is that highly available after a checkin means #mozilla.
I usually work from home, so I would not have any other chance to get reliable
some help when things go wrong. That's why I am blocked and as I don't plan to
put the three at risk -> no new checkins.

Summary: thanks for banning me → moznet should be less aol-dsl hostile
endico lifted the ban against aol dialup, thanks. Banning so wide seems like a
little bit brutal to me, or is that what they call colateral damages??
