What did you do?
- Visit MDN from Spain
- Tell MDN you always wanna browse the docs in English
- Close MDN
- Open a new MDN link
- Cry because it shows the Spanish docs instead of the English ones
What happened?
It shows the Spanish docs instead of the English ones
What should have happened?
It should've opened the English version of the docs because that's what I asked it to do (with that toast/modal thing)
Is there anything else we should know?

Yes, I am signed in and my browser allows cookies. Sorry for not specifying that before.
Also now that I've double checked everything, I think the issue might be that I'm visiting the site via Google and it shows links to the Spanish version of the site.
Is my preference supposed to redirect me to the English version? If not is there any way to make it work like that via the site's preferences?

Hi Nestor,
Yes, currently only links without a locale string in the URL use that preference. When you come from Google it will already have a locale in the URL and we show the page corresponding to that locale string.
