Steps to reproduce:

Use Firefox 60.6.1 ESR

Actual results:

Add-On stopped working with misleading error message (actually Bug 1548973)
No work-around available or documented

Expected results:

The bug should state that changing the config "xpinstall.signatures.required" to "false" (via about:config) makes Add-Ons work again until a fix is available. (After the fix the setting should be reverted)
