Steps to reproduce:

My issue is an extended delay when answering calls. When utilizing FF there is a 8-10 second delay when answering calls before the caller can hear me.

Actual results:

Caller cannot hear me for 8-10 seconds.

Expected results:

They should hear my voice immediately when answered. I utilize Opera as well and the call is answered normally when using the service.

rob.dispatcher, can you please give more detailed steps to reproduce?

Michael,

My setup consists of running Google Voice thru Google Hangouts so that I can make/rec calls while in Gmail. The issue is that when a call rings in it takes the caller 8-10 seconds to hear my voice when I answer. Outgoing calls work as intended FYI. When I utilize this same setup via Opera the call is answered and heard immediately as soon as I answer.

So that we can attempt to reproduce this issue, Rob, can you provide which version of Firefox you experience this in , which distro and version you are using, and if you downloaded Firefox directly or installed it via your OS's package manager? On its face, this sounds like a bug in hangouts, and we should probably bring it to their attention.

Please see below Nico, as mentioned this doesn't happen in other chromium based browsers so cant say if it would be a hangout issue or not, but thanks for checking into it.

OS: Gentoo

Kernel: 5.1.7-gentoo

FF 67 compiled via Portage | I also tried the firefox-bin binary via Portage, but it also produced the same results.
