When right-clickin on the todo-list, a context-menu is expected with todo- options like : New To Do Item, Edit To Do item, Delete To Do item, Mark as Done and so on... Or maybe it would be better to call 'To Do item' Task? ('New task', 'Mark task as done'...) Also I would expect a New Task button on the toolbar (or popup menu on the New button)
I agree with this, so I'll confirm this bug.

Part of my suggestions for the Sunbird UI (see http://members.meldstar.com/chrisc/misc/sunbirdui.html), although edit and delete should be able to handle both tasks and events (we shouldn't have to duplicate them).
Attached patch patch v1 (obsolete) — Splinter Review
There already is a context menu for items in the task list, but not for the empty space below it. I think that it should have the same context items. The patch does that.

Comment on attachment 157091 [details] [diff] [review] patch v1 When I apply the patch and right click on a task and hover over "progress" or "priority", they become disabled.
Oops. Nice bubbling.... Patch updated to only change the disabled stuff for the main context onpupupshowing, not the submenus.

Comment on attachment 157094 [details] [diff] [review] patch v2 (checked in) Not sure if this bug can be closed now. There is only a button in sunbird, not in the xpi

Let's leave it open for the "New task" button in the extension. We need graphics for it though so I'm ccing Mark Carson to see if he has time to provide us with a "New Task" button for classic and modern: http://lxr.mozilla.org/mozilla/source/calendar/resources/skin/classic/btn1.png http://lxr.mozilla.org/mozilla/source/calendar/resources/skin/modern/btn1.png Mark: Note that it can be provided as a seperate png. Meanwhile, I personally don't mind if we have the "New Task" button with the same icon as "New Event". IMHO, it is better than nothing, so feel free to add the code snipet if you agree.
New 10th row adds icons for "New Task" to the Modern theme. Image pack went from 306 to 340 pixels tall. Attached image needs to be renamed "btn-1.png" when inserted into the theme. The new image pack should be backward compatible as everything from pixels 0 to 306 (vertically) are unchanged. The "Classic" image pack already had a set of "New Task" icons.
I said "this big can be closed." Doesn't bugzilla do voice recognition? :)
