In advanced searches, the date range picker isn't working correctly. The date is successfully limited to (stuff changed) for on or greater than a beginning date, but I can't set a date boundary for "less than", so can't change the ending date for a query. All queries seem to default to end "now" despite what I choose.

Will take a look.

The UI has to be improved. I myself forgot to select [Bug creation] several times. When a data range is given, the change fields = <select name="chfield”> should be marked as required.

Summary: Date range in advanced search is not working correctly → Search By Change History: date range is ignored when field is not specified

The fix goes to advanced-search.js which is being added in Bug 1543700.

Depends on: 1543700

I’ll go ahead and merge the code later.

The PR selects [Bug creation] by default, so the results will make sense even if you forget to select a field.

Hmm, no, just do this:

When a data range is given, the change fields = <select name="chfield”> should be marked as required.

Merged to master.
