Is this Linux kernel 4.16 an official version from kernel.org? Or is just a specific kernel for the fix of Ubuntu bugs?

When I compile this kernel 4.16 from 01.org, I need to “make menuconfig”, but I don’t know which items should be selected, so I just save the default.
And after that make and make install, then reboot.

The new kernel loaded successfully, but the keyboard and mouse can not work now.
So, can you help to get the detailed steps to operate updating, Thanks.

Summary: menuconfig → make menuconfig

This has nothing to do with Bugzilla... I think you need to file this at bugs.kernel.org or launchpad.ubuntu.com

Also, this isn't security-sensitive. Checking that box pesters a bunch of people that don't need to come in off hours to look at this if it's not a security issue.
