STR:
- Set apz.gtk.kinetic_scroll.enabled;true
- ensure environment variable MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 is set
- restart Firefox
- Scroll using touchpad.
What happens:
No discernible effect from this option.
Expected result:
This previously worked before it was backed out in Bug 1213601.

Are you sure it's actually running with the Wayland backend? (e.g. if you check about:support).
The reason I ask is because this bug (in particular Kestrel's comment) indicates that this is broken in the current nightly and it's actually using xwyaland: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1560545
The kinetic scrolling doesn't work with xwayland, so if you're experiencing that issue, it would explain the lack of kinetic scrolling
I haven't had the change yet to try the latest nightly myself

Are you sure it's actually running with the Wayland backend? (e.g. if you check about:support).
Apparently, it is running in x11 mode. I'll leave it open until Wayland works again and see if it fixes after that.
