From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.1a) Gecko/20020611
BuildID: 2002061104
In Preferences->Navigator, I can specify the initialization of browser window on
startup - blank, home page, or last visited page. If I set it to last visited
page, and I had many tabs opened during my last session, only the last tab is
remembered. I want Mozilla to open the entire bunch of tabs that was current
when I last closed Mozilla.
And I want Mozilla to record the list of tabs currently opened in persistent
storage dynamically. This can substantially mitigate the impact of crashes - I
have a tendency to keep many tabs open, & this is a situation that make Mozilla
prone to crash.
I know I could bookmark the bunch of tabs. But it happens so often that I will
resume the same session across many machine reboots during a given day or a
span of a few days - and it will be so convenient if I did not have to give each
session a name (& delete last session's name from bookmarks).
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. See description above.

A related thing that I've started observing ever since last few weeks that I
have been using tabs heavily. I tend to bookmark A LOT OF tabs together - 15+ is
not uncommon.
When I start a new session & open this group, I typically am interested in 3 or
4 tabs *that were opened last* in my previous session. When I am connected over
a dial-up line & Mozilla tries to load all tabs (& in order of 1st to last
rather than most recently opened to least recently opened), just getting the
most interesting tab to open can take long.
So normally I end up visiting all tabs "to the left" & stop their downloads as
soon as I can. Manually. But I still must wait to a tab starts loading something
- so that tab's URL won't be lost (I've filed a related bug elsewhere).
Wish I could tell Mozilla to automatically load only the last n tabs in group;
if I need another one, I will explicitly load it. Or display other tabs from
cache (if they are available there) with a marker that indicates they may not be
up-to-date. Or behave smartly & automatically download the tabs I am not likely
to need soon only when my network connection is relatively idle!
