From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:1.0.0) Gecko/20020530 BuildID: 2002053012 If a mail message includes graphics it cannot be printed. When a job with graphics is submitted an immediate HP DeskJet Toolbox window displayes the message: Printer Driver Problem. Data required by the printer cannot be found or has been corrupted. Restart windows and try printing again. The printer is an HP DeskJet 820 Cxi with V8.5 driver. Changing spooling has no effect on the problem. Netscape 4.79 prints the message with no problem. Plain text messages print with no problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Find a mail message with graphics. 2. Try to print it. 3. It won't print. 4. Print this same message with 4.79. 5. It will print. Actual Results: Mail message does not print. Expected Results: Mail message should print. NT 4.0 workstation sp 6a

I just installed 1.1b and printing is still as described in this bug.
Installing build 2002080208 had no effect on this bug.
This bug has reappeared in all builds newer than 1.3a.
bzbarsky: Shouldn't the "load images from content instead from layout" have fixed this kind of issues (unless it is a Win32-specific one) ?
It fixed issues with images not printing, in some cases (not all). It wouldn't fix issues with the print driver or printer barfing on something, though.. why would it have?

We had crashers in gfx/src/ps/ due a race condition when images were not loaded at the moment we print a message (other platforms just do not show/print the image). I was guessing/hoping that this was another incarnation of the issue (remember that gfx/src/windows/ and gfx/src/ps/ originate from the same author and that they had lots of similar bugs due that detail (most of them are now fixed in gfx/src/windows/) ... ;-/
This bug is still present in v1.4 rc 1. Please note new e-mail address: spectrum@bvunet.net
This bug is present in Thunderbird 0.1 (20030723). Can anyone tell us if this bug will ever be fixed? I don't want to have to give up Mozilla or Thunderbird, but it is a real pain to exit Mozilla or Thunderbird and fire up Netscape everytime we need to print an e-mail containing graphics.
well, a good start is getting someone to look at it. The problem is that there is no one at all working on printing on Windows at the moment, to my knowledge. jkeiser, do you have any idea who would be a good person to look at this, if one even exists?
Works for me! 1.8 RC2
I think this can be deleted.....
