What if you Alt-click the shield or ⓘ and toggle the tracking protection button from the protection panel (introduced by bug 1555222)?

What if you Alt-click the shield or ⓘ and toggle the tracking protection button from the protection panel (introduced by bug 1555222)?

Yup, this is the temporary workaround. This panel will be accessible without alt-clicking with bug 1562881, which is planned to land in Nightly very soon.

Sorry for the hassle :)
