I was recently looking at small DLLs to figure out where we could combine them into larger DLLs, and discovered mozxfer.dll What I can't figure out, for the life of me is where, if ever, we use this thing. I think that we might be able to just yank it from the build. Bill, I think you wrote this - do you know if we need it for anything?

This removes xfer from the build - I will also remove all the files in this directory.

Comment on attachment 90810 [details] [diff] [review] remove xfer from the build r=law Thanks, Alec. This was on my list of things to do; these things just never get the requisite adt1.0.1 (or whatever) keywords...

so the xfer directory now only contains a .dtd and a .property file... can't they be moved somewhere else? Having the xfer directory just for these two files sounds wrong to me... maybe under download-manager?

yes, I didn't realize that those files were still used, when I fixed this bug - since the real goal (Removing the DLL) has been accomplished, can you file a new bug on moving the .dtd and .properties elsewhere, and hopefully getting a new name as well?
