User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:68.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/68.0
Steps to reproduce:
I went on wikipedia, and printed the printable version of an article.
Actual results:
The print-preview, with the correct printer set-up looked good. However, printing outside of the margins of the printer was attempted. Thus, not all of the text was printed, although the text looked good on the displayed html page, as well as on the print preview.
Expected results:
The real print should have looked exactly like the print preview.

It's possible for Firefox's print preferences (stored in your Firefox profile folder) to end up with bad info about print dimensions/page-size etc -- that may be what happened here.
Would you mind trying to create a new Firefox profile (alongside your existing one), and switch to that profile, and see if you can reproduce the problem there as well?
See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles?#w_manage-profiles-when-firefox-is-open for information about how to create and manage profiles. (basically, type about:profiles
into your URL bar, hit enter, click through the "create" process, and then use the "Launch profile in new browser" button.)

Unfortunately, it still persists.
The bulk of the page is better in the new profile, but the headnote and footnote region are still not good, that is, the web-page on the top and the date on the bottom of the page are being printed outside of the margin.

- What printer are you printing to? What paper size? (A4 vs. US Letter vs. something else?)
- Does this happen with other programs as well? (e.g. Notepad, if you copypaste a few pages of wikipedia content into it to get enough so that you could see if it overflows)
- Does this happen with other printers, including e.g. the "Microsoft PDF Printer"?
I am printing to a remote connected printer, but the settings for it should be fine (set-up normally with Windows printer manager). Paper size A4.
Here are a few more tests:
- Firefox, normal printing, BAD
- Notepad, GOOD
- Microsoft Edge, normal printing, GOOD
- Firefox, Microsoft pdf printer --> Printing from Adobe Reader, GOOD.
However, the produced pdf is fine, but has almost no margins. So, Adobe Reader will shrink the document slightly, so that it fits within the printer margins.
It seems that Firefox doesn't get hold of the printer margins, it doesn't print outside of A4, just outside of the printer margins.
