Steps to reproduce:

I'm running multiple Firefox installations on my machine. Firefox, Developer Edition and Nightly. I started noticing that the application updater was triggering a UAC prompt for admin priviliges with every in-app update.
This is described in bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1570396.

Actual results:

Now the application updater of Nightly doesn't work anymore at all. If I trigger it manually with "About Nightly" it only states "updates available at ..." and links to the Nightly download page.

I uninstalled all versions of Firefox from my machine (but kept the profile data in C:\users\user\appdata). I also removed the Mozilla Maintenance Service and reinstalled it.

I'm running in a Windows domain with a non-admin user.
