Steps to reproduce:

I tried to install an addon, from addons page eg. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/enhancer-for-youtube/, and clicked the "+ Add to Firefox" button

I also tried to install the same one from about:addons page.

Actual results:

It changed the buttons appearance (see attached), but nothing happened. The button kept showing the animation. No addon install dialog was opened.

From about:addons page, addon install dialog was shown for a few seconds and closed automatically.

Tried to the same for other addons but obtained the same results.

Expected results:

A small dialog should appear and ask if I want to install or not.

Hi, I tested this issue on Mac OS X 10.14 with FF 68 release and FF Nightly 70(2019-08-18) and I can't reproduce the issue, in my case I see the dialog.

Please download Firefox Nightly from here: https://nightly.mozilla.org/ and retest the problem.

Do you have some add-ons on your profile? If yes, please test if the issue is reproducible in safe mode, here is a link that can help you:

Back then I tried a couple of things but could not get it to work. Now, although I didn't fix anything particular, it's working again. Sorry that nothing is clear about why that happened.
