Steps to reproduce:
- https://piotrswigon.github.io/pwa-demo/standalone/
- install PWA ("Piotr's Standalone PEA Demo")
- run "Standalone PWA" from Home Screen
- click on "Same-origin navigation with window.open(url)"
Actual results:
PWA APP show:
window.opener is null
Expected results:
PWA APP should display:
window.opener is not null
(This is shown, for example, when using PWA and Chrome.)

Hello, thanks for your report.
I can confirm that this issue is reproducible for Nightly and Release.
Devices:
- Google Pixel 3 (Android 9);
- Google Pixel (Android Q);
- Samsung Galaxy Tab A 6 (Android 5.1).
Builds:
- Nightly 68.1a1 (2019-08-26);
- Release 68.0.2.
Notes:
- Not reproducible on Chrome;
